Laying the foundation of Ireland's Great Hunger Museum of Fairfield's future home

Ireland's Great Hunger Museum of Fairfield (IGHMF),  a 501(c)3 organization, tasked with the mission to create a new home for an unparalleled collection of art and artifacts related to The Great Hunger.

IGHMF’s mission to  enlighten our audiences on the intricate political, social, economic, and historical causes of the Great Hunger and to establish a vibrant center for education, artistic influence, and intellectual exchange that demonstrates the enduring relevance of history to the present.

IGHMF’s  relocation to the Fairfield Historic District, adjacent to The Gaelic American Club, enables us to extend the influence of our collection and magnify our communal engagement. IGHMF is rooted in the conviction that the dissemination of history enriches everyone's narrative, linking the Irish-American experience with diverse immigrant tales across the globe.

Your endorsement, advocacy and support will leave a lasting legacy, impacting not just the Irish community but diverse audiences for the generations to come.
